EAGLE CREEK LUGGAGE ~ The Swerve 32 shown here is a fine piece of Eagle Creek luggage made in the style of a large rolling duffel bag. This bag was one of two styles of wheeled bags that my family took when we travelled to Europe and we loved it.

Though Eagle Creek's Swerve 32 is no longer available, I thought the information in this section still might be helpful to some readers.

We chose the Swerve 32 after much consideration and after carrying home several pieces to 'test drive them.' The Swerve is a generous size and measures 32.5 by 14.5 by 11 inches or 83 by 37 by 28 centimeters and weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces or 3.74 kilograms.

As I said, we did try a selection of bags and right away one of my teenage sons gravitated to the rolling duffle style bag. My other son immediately preferred the suitcase that was made in a more traditional shape. That result is exactly what I might have predicted.

My husband preferred the traditional styled suitcase which also is what I would have guessed. He has travelled a lot and he knows what he wants and needs in a bag. He preferred the traditional style of suitcase because it is easier to be organized in (organized is his style), because it protects the contents a bit better than a soft-sided duffel and because it includes a garment bag for his jacket.

What did surprise me was that I preferred the Eagle Creek Duffel. It was a bit lighter than the other bag but seemed much lighter and was definitely more streamlined, both of which were very important to me.

"Love the bag, in fact I have two! Use the packing cubes they are a must; especially when the airline says your bag is too heavy. Simply remove a cube, no mess and no extra fee. Just carry on the cube. The bag does not have a bag ID tag so get one when you purchase the bag. Thought this was strange for such a well made bag. Highly recommend it."
