The Imax Ultimate Collection includes twenty DVDs including some of the best Imax movies ever released. A fantastic set for anyone who loves Imax films. I cannot believe this deal almost snuck past me. Did it almost get past you?
The people at Imax have put together an incredible set of twenty documentary films in one package at a very reasonable price. The price does move a bit but right now, it is on sale at Amazon for just $44.87 or $2.24 each. That is a deal that you will not beat.
In December, 2008, I created a page about the Top 10 Imax Blu-ray Movies. On it were the top 10 Imax movies available on blu-ray, as defined by Amazon's bestselling list. That page includes a lot information, reviews and links about each individual movie that was featured on that list.
Words like the best and the top are always subjective though and I struggled with what to call THIS page about the IMAX Ultimate Collection because the documentary set includes some pretty amazing Imax movies ~~ some that receive top scores from Amazon Customer Reviews, some that are bestsellers, some that made the most money at the box office and some that received the most awards for filmatography.
The nature of the twenty movies that Imax packed into this box is a little loose. I cannot call it in all fairness call the twenty BEST Imax movies nor the TOP twenty Imax films but it is definitely packed with fantastic Imax features. You are bound to find some of your favorites...and probably some that you haven't seen, too and I think that this set is truly a wonderful and affordable way to start a collection of Imax movies.
