Starbucks: Passion For Coffee Cookbook Review
PASSION FOR COFFEE: A Starbucks Coffee Cookbook
Starbucks Passion For Coffee is a small and attractive Starbucks coffee book. Not just a recipe collection, this volume includes information on coffee, too. It will take you from the areas of the world where coffee is grown to your own kitchen, where you can brew your own coffee the way Starbucks does. In this book you will find a nice variety of information on the subject of COFFEE.
Published in 1994 by Sunset Books with text by Dave Olsen and recipes by John Phillip Carroll and Lora Brody, it is an affordable and attractive gift option for anyone who loves coffee and cooking.
What's This Coffee Cookbook All About?
If you love coffee, you will enjoy Starbucks: Passion for Coffee. Within the covers you will find brewing secrets from Starbucks written by Dave Olsen, senior vice president of the company. You'll learn how to pick your coffee and you will find simple instructions on how to brew the perfect cup of coffee the Starbucks way. You will also find 34 recipes for sweet treats and suggestions for what coffees to serve with those treats.
Inside the cover of this book, you wil find 96 pages or seven chapters dedicated to:
- Pursuing A Personal Passion.
- A Passion For Coffee.
- Plantation to Cup.
- Coffee Brewing.
- Morning Recipes.
- Afternoon Recipes.
- Evening Recipes.
Are The Starbucks Recipes Good?
Although not simply a cookbook, Amazon customer reviews indicate that the 34 recipes that are in this book are good. They were created by John Phillip Carroll and Lora Brody, who wrote many of the books in the popular Williams-Sonoma cookbook series.
Amazon customer reviewer S. Gardner says that she enjoys the recipes, that many are good and some even outstanding. As a matter of fact, she says that she enjoys the granola recipe so much that she has made more than fifty pounds of it.
The recipes also include nut lace cookies, rhubarb crumble, panettone, cinnamon-swirl biscuits, peach kuchen with crumble topping and the world's best chocolate pudding. I hope to report back on that last claim.
